Vietnam Veterans Day – Commemoration Service

Vietnam Veterans Day ’26 on the 18th August The President, Col Foley, and board members of the Magnetic Island RSL Sub Branch invite members and guests to join us in commemorating those who served during Australia’s commitment to operations in South Vietnam from 1962 to 1973. With a small service commencing at 1230pm on 18 August 2026 in the Hall grounds, near the Memorial Stone, we will honour and remember those who lost their lives during and after the conflict. There will be a brief service, facing the memorial stone in the grounds, from 12.30pm, followed by an open bar and a complimentary lunch of tasty finger food in the Hall, under these arrangements. Dress is a jacket with medals or smart casual wear, as a minimum for gentlemen and appropriate dress for ladies. Please rsvp for catering purposes by email ONLY to jodi.daly@magneticisland.rslqld.net.au before 5pm on 10th August. Members
