Remembrance Day 2014

Magnetic Island RSL Sub Branch delivered a Remembrance Day service this 11th November 2014 of a magnitude never before seen on the island.

As a precursor to the 100th anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli to be held next year, this Remembrance Day service at Alma Bay had a Military Guard and Catafalque Party of 70 Australian Defense Force personnel.

Following the service the Military Guard and Catafalque Party marched back to the Magnetic Island Memorial Hall.

The attendance of the Military Guard and Catafalque Party was made possible through the generosity of Fantasea Cruising Magnetic, who provided transport to and from the island for the military personnel and their vehicles.

The Magnetic Island RSL Sub Branch wishes to thank the ADF and Fantasea Cruising Magnetic for their support on this very special day.
